Claudia Torán (b. 1991, Valencia)
is a Visual Artist and Doctor in Fine Arts currently based between Madrid and London.
After completing a Master's Degree in Design & Illustration (Polytechnic University of Valencia and Leeds University) and a Postgraduate Degree in Sound Art (Universitat de Barcelona), Claudia specialized in the relationship between visual arts and music, dedicating her Doctoral Thesis to "Illustration in the Music Industry".
Although she bases her artistic practice on painting, her process is open to the search for synergies and multidisciplinary projects with the purpose of diluting technical limits and exploring a transversal art, breaking the limits between sound and image, either procedurally or conceptually.
About her visual work, in addition to the forceful use of color and composition, we observe a taste for the unexpected, the traces of a free creative process in which Claudia creates a poetic universe of encounters and contradictions; obtaining as a result a style that could be defined as figurative or abstract, everyday or surreal, naive or conceptual but above all experimental,
